2 weeks ago, I moved to State College, PA to start a new journey. I’m now a Counselor Education and Supervision Doctoral Candidate at Penn State. This isn’t the first, or second time I’ve had to up and move myself and all my worldly possessions to a new state to start. Settling in is always a process. Making friends, finding a church, finding a favorite restaurant, there are so many little things involved in the transition that is moving.
If you’ve ever had to move, I’m sure you can relate. I came up with this quick, encouraging prayer during a transition for myself and anyone going through a transition. Transitions don’t only come when we move, they come with new jobs, new positions, new people in our lives and so much more.
I hope this prayer during a transition brings some encouragement for you as you transition through your new phase in life.
Prayer During A Transition
I thank you for this new opportunity you’ve brought my way. Whenever I feel nerves rising up in me as a result of this transition, I remember that you, Father, know the plans you have for me; plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. I hold on to this promise as I move through this transition and it is a constant source of encouragement for me. I choose to be excited Lord. Excited that you’ve removed me from one phase and placed m another one. This can only mean that I’m getting closer to your plans for me. I pray Lord that you will lead my paths to cross with those of people who will make this new transition fun and stress free! I also ask, Father, that you use me to be a blessing to all those I might come across on this journey. Help me to be salt and light wherever I go. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
